UNDERSTANDING

Is it that I do not understand people

Or people do not understand me

At times I feel they intentionally

create a situation to confront me

Do they want me to react for

I keep to myself and my beliefs

Every human being thinks differently

and so do I have my unique responses

Does that mean I am rude or insulting

In all these years I found people respect

and love me for my honesty

and outright nature

I am in and out the same person

I am a human with emotions too

Intelligence cannot be measured

in the same weighing scales

And it cannot be compared

You might be a master in your profession

and I in mine

Let us switch roles and see how far

we can go in each other’s spheres

It is difficult.

Silence is not disrespect

for I never speak on a subject

which is not clear to me

But the day I understand it

I can challenge anyone

Forget about what position I get

but I will surely speak

Do you understand a person by what they show

and that also in this virtual world

where everything false is posted

If you cannot meet face to face

then pick up the phone

And have it within you to understand a person

by the voice

Voice never changes like the soul

never changes

If you are that sensitive you

might realize that you know

the soul and you are wrong

It is how evolved a soul you are

Some take years to understand

Some take several births too

And some get spiritually connected

Instantly

Every person is unique in this world

and in everyone resides the creator

Every person is going through a challenging life

Some even challenge God

Let us at least try to understand the other

Before we laugh at them.

Even God does not laugh at us.
