LOTUS PINK

If I were a leapy greeny frog

Living in a lotus full pond

All alone I would prefer to live

Not willing to ever bond

I would drive away everyone

And make the pond my home

I would not want anyone around

Only me and me alone

For every morning my princess comes

To collect the lotus pink

I would hide under the lotus leaf

steal glances, let not my heart sink

Wish she would make me her friend

Dance and play with me

Together we would pick lotus pink

When tired rest under the trees

If dear God grants me half a wish

I would pray to him sincerely

I know I can’t turn into a prince

At least I get the kiss.
