HAPPY JANMASHTAMI
KRISHNA
Krishna, Kanha ,
Manohar or Mohan
I have a name too
hidden within
Remember I once uttered
I won’t be friends with you
For I am a possessive soul
This too I had said , yes true
But you taunted me
with that teasing smile
And that smile angered
and always burnt my bile
The hotel where I ate
had to hang you for me to see
And the table I got was
always the same, your decree
That wicked smile of yours
you never did try to tame
I bet you loved irritating me ,
your loving pet game
But I kept you away at
district Midnapore
Surprisingly you entered my home
like a determined ‘chor’*
It was at Jalpaiguri district
and what a shock I had
A huge pic gifted of Radha with Krishna
made me mad
I quickly rolled it, tied it
and hid it away
But you and your tricks
got it again in my way
I found you hanging
well framed in glass
I got trapped in no way
could I, you by-pass
That same smile of yours
oh! just to harass
You caught me in your net
this innocent lass
But doing this all
did not satisfy you
In every room of mine you
creeped your colour blue
I am helpless as lord Shiva too
is on your side
Made me cook kheer** today,
again taken for a ride
You do what you want
and I will do what I please
Do not show me your smile
or me you try to tease
I will serve you itsy bitsy
of my kheer** sweet
The rest with pleasure
lord Shiva and I will eat.
