DANCE IN DARKNESS
Could the stars remove
the darkness of night
Could the fireflies
make a dark night bright
They, just a flickering glitter
to behold
To distract you from the light
the darkness holds
Ever was I scared
of darkness
The mind a culprit
to its starkness
Diverted thoughts
to the small shines
When in the darkness were hidden
diamond mines
It is only when you lose
all your fears
You get to see things in life
crystal clear
life went on beating me
and fully bruised me
Till in desperation
I made it my enemy
Challenged it openly
and jumped into burning pits
And found life with arms open,
smiling at my humourless wit
It was slowly luring me
to react and to act
And in these reactions
see all the true facts
In a painful way
it murdered all my fears
In the darkness made me
shed a lot of tears
Saw to it that
no one would wipe them
Let them slide and made me
lick the salted gems
Count yourself blessed
to be tutored by life
What I was scared of
actually removed my strife
My true friends were the ones
who scared me
Oh! life, darkness I welcome
and in it, now all clearly see.
