BE A BEE
I want to laugh loudly
Openly where ever I please
No restrictions about it
My laughter should touch the other’s heart
And not thought of as sound pollution
Let them shut their ears the refined ones
But my mouth I will surely open
And make my soul happy
How delicately stupid they look
with their hands on their mouths
Stifling the soul’s sound
Why not fully throttle it
Why whimper like a puppy
Why fake them into your
ugly coquettish eyes
to please the fakes
Oh! How I detest these cultured fakes
Kept away from them, lest they tar me
Fools let it resonate in the air
and spread here and there
and awaken those
who have forgotten to laugh
How sick are they who
try to curb this magic
Wanting to become
Leonardo da Vinci’s Monalisa maybe.
And call it etiquette.
I rather be the lovely bee
Buzzing in the air
Singing my songs
Loud and clear
Vibrating my wings
Not tamed, not shamed
But disturb me
I sting thee
Openly and gleefully.
