AGE IS JUST A NUMBER
A young friend of mine keeps saying to me
That age is just a number
He never will ever let me feel my age
Gets wild when I say I am getting dumber
Refuses to see my passing years
In his heart hiding some haunting fears
He thinks by colouring my grey hairs
My life might move in a reverse gear
Seen many a love but never like his
I sometimes worry and wonder
Should I sing and dance along with him
And say age is just a number
I stare at his face with a smile on my face
While he searching on mine for an aging trace
Emotions on his face all running in a race
With raised eyebrows , I a question place
We all will leave this world dear friend
God’s messenger well prepared will come
Come give your hand don’t droop and bend
Let laughingly with you live my life some
Ok I agree age is just a number
I agree I have no pain in my lumbar
I even give up my old age slumber
But smile till I am there you grumbler.
This young friend of mine keeps saying to me
That age is just a number.
