ARE YOU A NEW YEAR

ARE YOU A NEW YEAR
All call you a new year but not me
Why clip time in pieces
It is like putting boulders to disrupt the flow of a river
And saying what went , went
Now take some fresh water
The water still flows
carrying with it all it had carried
through eons
It has a memory too
Every second ticking
Shows me a new colour
Why should I give this credit to a year
I opened my eyes and saw what I have been seeing
Flowers dancing in breeze, birds chirping on trees
The sun smiling at me
With the same thought I woke today
The duties to be done perfectly
And not to be kept aside for future
For me work is worship
And this he programed in me
My new year will surely come
When my time stops ticking
And I see the new world
For which I have been working hard
Not letting my trust fail in him
Though at times there were minor quakes in me
And I survived my destruction
