PAST RESURFACED
Once again the same
forgotten mistake I made
Glanced at the past
long ago I had bade
Nothing it gave,
a few more deaths I died
Wounds I had buried
once again came alive
I had my soul, somehow healed
and consoled
My soul is now shaking
with tears uncontrolled
Never turn back to look
at the time that has left
Like an earthquake,
it crumbled and left me bereft
Tears drenched me in sorrow
and washed dreams away
Once again those days
darkened my lit pathways
What a fool I am,
that I keep failing this lesson
When nothing I get,
has it become an obsession
All my castles turned rubble,
I am brooming once again
Build castles in air, that vanish
with nothing to gain
Last time will I try
to wipe out that phase
Or surrender to life
and its unpredictable ways
Had drowned myself in love
and turned blind eye to all
But when past resurfaces,
heart wrenches to its calls.
