A Collaborative poem (Sunita Grover Raina & Subhashchandra B Adhav)
YELLOW ROSES
SUNITA GROVER RAINA.
Dear you never give me flowers
You know I love yellow roses
So many times I have hinted
Even pointed out with poses
But you never seem to notice
Looks like a punishment
Dear see
this was never your practice
before you married me
Are the roses going elsewhere
Just watch out, don’t you dare
If it turns out to be so ever
You will not get to see my face
Yes! never
What a miser you have become
You rarely give me a pretty dress
I hardly have anything to wear
My old dresses on me look a mess
Seems like I have become
an eye sore
My presence does not
attract any more
Then dear let us go in
for a divorce
I no longer can beg you or force.
SUBHASHCHANADRA ADHAV
Dear
Your pretty countenance
casts spells on me
It is much prettier
than flowers
Tell me dear, in your
company
How can I remember
flowers
I know you like yellow
roses
But on your
complexion
A wonderful blossom
of red roses
No wonder I’m
captivated by those
red roses
Your bloomed face
mesmerises me
Your poses stupefy me
You’re lively human
faunal rose
Can’t attract me the
floral rose
Instead of making rosy
talks
I would like to take
with you soulful walks
Forget your spousal
role and dress like
things frivolous
I value your soul
precious
You’re driven by inner
mad force
That is prompting you
to take divorce
In the garden of roses
How can you choose
such an awful course ?
Your unjust feel of
Inferiority
Pulling you into low
spirit
Oh ! Dear Spouse
Never forget our
genuine merit.
