JUST ENOUGH

Just the number

of breaths to keep us breathing

Just enough food to keep us going

Just enough clothes to cover our self

Just enough to maintain our dignity

Just enough shelter to cover our head

Just enough land to bury when dead

Not a little above and

not a little below

Just enough

A little above and a little below

Creates sadness around

and diseases hound

I have stolen so many breaths of people

So much food and clothing

Sharing never to the extent

that -just enough -remains

Knowing nothing goes along

not even that….just enough
